An MEP Mechanical Designer II is responsible for designing and creating layouts and documentation for mechanical building systems, equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and Documentation: Use computer-aided design (CAD) and other specialized software tools to generate detailed layout plans, schematics, and drawings for mechanical systems, equipment design for retrofits.
• Version Control: Maintain accurate and complete change and version control on all design files, documents, and drawings.
• Compliance: Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety requirements, and building codes.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers/ multidisciplinary teams and project members to ensure efficiency and safety. Conduct or participate in site visits to inspect installations and troubleshooting problems.
• Prepare material takeoffs and assist with the sizing and selection of MEP components.
Skills and Requirements:
• Education: Associate degree in mechanical design, drafting, or equivalent.
• Experience: 3-5 years of related experience.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in 2D CAD and other design software.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual a Plus
