Merchandiser - Tyler, TX

Ole Mexican Foods is looking for a Merchandiser/Sales Representative who will work in a retail setting cultivating new and engaging ways to sell more products though localized selling, merchandising, and relationship building. The ideal candidate will analyze the store’s layout to find the best spots to place products, that will make them look more appealing to help customers choose our brands.

As a Merchandiser, you will drive a company vehicle to scheduled stores that sells Olé branded products and ensure world class merchandising, product availability, and work with store leads to gain incremental merchandising locations.

Job Responsibilities

· Travel to scheduled stores daily to merchandise, stock, and sell

· Stocking shelves and displays on the sales floor where additional inventory management assistance is required

· Get to know the customer base and understanding their motivation and sales drivers

· Become an expert of Olé brands and the category, provide merchandising proposals and solutions that will increase sales

· Monitoring sales and overcoming obstacles to ensure positive growth trends

· Coaching store associates on proper merchandising and rotation to ensure efficiency and optimize every space

· Work with store management in correcting on hands on all Ole items to ensure replenishment system orders accurately and thus avoiding out of stocks to help increase sales

· Researching, understanding, and monitoring industry trends and consumer behavior to anticipate demand and changes in buying patterns

Requirements and skills

· Weekend/Holiday availability

· Have a clean MVR and High School or GED required

· Must be able to lift up to 30 lb.

· Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.

· Required to travel to client locations (valid driver's license required)

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills plus Basic computer and/or Tablet skills

· Commitment to providing outstanding customer service

· Strong time management abilities, including planning and prioritizing workloads

· Thorough understanding of merchandising trends and industry best practices

· Exceptional ability to analyze data and draw relevant conclusions

· Experience in preparing and/or delivering presentations to managers, staff, and suppliers.
